Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils; derived from various
plants, flowers, leaves, fruits, gums and resins for their healing
and wellbeing properties.
Not all plants contain essential oils, however of the many plants
that do, it is the essential oil that gives the plant it's aroma.
Essential oils are considered the essence of the plant or the
plant’s “life force” similar to the human spirit.
Essential oils impart many wonderful benefits to the human mind,
body and spirit. They can soothe the body, calm the mind, uplift
the spirit and awaken the senses! Essential oils provide a number
of properties from relaxing, soothing, calming, uplifting, invigorating,
rejuvenating and the list goes on.
These wonderful oils can help to reduce stress and nervous tension,
aid in digestion and respiration, assist in the maintenance of
healthy skin, and promote good health and emotional wellbeing.
Aromatherapy works in a holistic way on the individual.
